The Great Wall of China dates back to the seventh century BCE, when it was built as protection against Eurasian nomadic groups. Between 1368 and 1644, the wall was expanded by the Ming Dynasty. It stretches approximately 21,196.18 kilometers: from Liaodong in southeastern China to Lop Lake in northwestern China. In 2007, the Great Wall of China was named one of the new seven wonders of the world: along with the Taj Mahal, Christ the Redeemer, Machu Picchu, Chichén Itzá, the Colosseum, and the archaeological site of Petra, Jordan.
- The puzzle is made of cardboard and measures 15" by 10". It's assembled in sections; the back of the pieces contain numbers to assist in assembly. It contains detailed images and designs, making it a great purchase and a challenging puzzle for travelers and geographers.
