• The Viking horn can be traced back to the Scandinavian Viking Age, which lasted from 800 to 1050 CE. Though typically made from the horns of cattle, sheep and goat horns were also used. The most prestigious and valued war horns were made from the horns of aurochs: an animal so important to Norse culture that it had its own rune in the alphabet. The war horn was a significant part of Norse culture: used for drinking, communication, and as a battle tool with the ability to strike fear into enemies.
• This horn is fourteen inches (35.5 cm) in length, weighing 345 grams.
• All orders are processed and shipped within two business days. Comes with a handwritten papyrus scroll, delivering a story right to your hand.
